…from another perspective. Like most babies, Eva spends a lot of time lying down (we try to squeeze in heaps of time for her to just sit up on our laps (during burps and such)). But since recently, I’ve begun to notice that her neck muscles are much stronger, allowing her to hold her head quite steady and figured that investing in a bumbo seat might be good at this stage to help her learn to sit on her own as well as provide her with another look at her world. Sitting up alone is still something new for her and I can see that she does enjoy it.
Still, because her head still bobs a little, I don’t dare let her spend too much time in the seat. So far, it’s just a few minutes a day until she gets stronger and better at holding her head steady. Once we hit that (which I can’t wait), I’d utilize the play tray, and put books and cards as well on it. A review of this seat will come after I’ve used it a few times, but so far, we’re both liking it!
